A correction detail set from Special Hobby in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for building the Republic P-47D and P-47M Thunderbolt fighter. The set is 3D printed and deals with the missing internal air channel which in a number of plastic kits leads to the side outlets on the fuselage and ends at the intercooler. Without this addition, looking into the outlets shows an empty fuselage. The set is intended for Tamiya kits.
The added channel raises the fidelity of the model in places that are clearly visible once it is assembled. The part is inserted between the two fuselage halves before they are glued together, so it is worth counting on it at the start of the build.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
