A resin, 3D-printed set of two pilot seats for the heavy transport helicopter CH-53E Super Stallion (and the related MH-53E Sea Dragon) in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The seats replace the simplified parts from the base kit with a more faithful rendering and fine detail. The set is intended for the Academy kit and is not a helicopter model in itself.
The CH-53E Super Stallion is an American three-engine heavy transport helicopter; the naval mine countermeasures version is designated the MH-53E Sea Dragon. The pilot seats are clearly visible in an open cockpit, so replacing them with a detailed version markedly lifts the impression the interior makes.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up while wearing respiratory protection. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The fabric seat belts and the padding come to life with gentle shading and a wash; apply a primer before painting.
This is not a model in its own right. The set serves to upgrade a kit; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
