Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.J conversion set 1:48 (CMK)

A resin conversion set that rebuilds a plastic model of the Panzer III tank into the Ausf.J version in 1:48 scale. It contains new cast parts that replace and supplement the original plastic components so that they match this sub-variant. It is not a complete model but a rebuild set to go with a base kit.

The real subject

The Panzer III was a German medium tank of the Second World War and one of the mainstays of the armored units in the first half of it. The Ausf.J version brought heavier armor and modifications to the turret and the hull compared with the older variants.

Usage tips

  • Separate the parts from the casting blocks and clean up the mating faces.
  • Wash them free of release agent before gluing and let them dry.
  • Bond with cyanoacrylate glue; dry-fit the more complicated parts first.
  • Fill and sand back the transitions to the plastic parts as needed.

  • More experienced modelers with experience of conversions and resin.
  • Collectors who want the specific Ausf.J variant.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
