This injection-molded plastic kit from Kinetic captures the two-seat trainer version of the famous British vertical take-off Harrier in 1:48 scale. The box allows several sub-versions of the two-seat T Harrier for the Royal Air Force and for naval aviation to be built, and besides the plastic parts it contains clear parts for the cockpit glazing and a photo-etched fret for the fine details.
The two-seat trainer Harriers were created by modifying the single-seat ground-attack versions with their Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine. The fuselage was lengthened to take the tandem cockpit for pupil and instructor, and the vertical tail received a taller fin. The T.2 and T.4 versions served with the land-based air force, while the naval T.8 trained Sea Harrier pilots and took over part of their avionics. The vertical and short take-off (V/STOL) machines made it possible to practice the demanding hover and the transition into forward flight.
Remove the parts from the sprues carefully and glue them with a thin plastic cement. Before painting we recommend a primer and spraying with an airbrush. Mask the large two-seat cockpit glazing carefully and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
