A set of 3D-printed wheels for a model of the PZL M18 Dromader agricultural aircraft in 1:48 scale from IBG models. It replaces the wheels from the kit and gives them a sharper detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
The PZL M18 Dromader is a Polish single-engine agricultural aircraft with a radial engine and fixed landing gear. It works low over the crop, takes off from short grass strips and, besides spraying fields, is often put to use fighting forest fires. Operating conditions leave their mark on the machine, and it shows most of all on the wheels, which carry the weight of a full tank and run over soft ground.
The package brings wheels for a model in 1:48 scale made by direct 3D printing. The parts are held on print supports, from which you separate them carefully one at a time, remove the print resin residue and sand the areas left by the supports with fine abrasive paper. The print captures the tread pattern of the tire and the profile of the hub more sharply than a two-part injected wheel can, and there is no seam line to sand away.
Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry completely so that the paint holds well. This order of work has proved itself.
The set will please modelers who are building a Dromader in 1:48 scale and want to raise the standard of the most visible part of the landing gear. The package contains only the printed wheel parts; the model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
