Kelik 1:48 Sikorsky H-34A / UH-34D interior 3D decals

A set of colored, pre-printed 3D decals for rendering the inside of the cockpit in 1:48 scale from the accessory maker Kelik. This is not a kit but decal film with a relief, layered print that reproduces the instrument panel, the side panels and the controls. The color print makes detailing the cockpit easy without lengthy painting. The decals are shaped for Italeri kits.

The real subject

The Sikorsky H-34 was a piston-engine utility helicopter with a radial engine housed in the nose. In the H-34A Choctaw and UH-34D Seahorse versions it served the US Army and the Marine Corps, carrying troops and cargo in the Vietnam War among other duties. The high-set cockpit gives the interior good visibility.

Use

• Cut the film out, dip it in lukewarm water for 30 to 60 seconds and slide it onto the surface.
• Apply it to a smoothly painted and preferably gloss surface, and gently squeeze out the surplus water.
• Press the part gently down into the relief with a soft cotton swab and, once dry, go over it with matte clear coat. Check the manufacturer's instructions for whether a decal softener may be used with it.
