This is a resin conversion set, not a complete aircraft kit. It lets you rebuild a model of the Sukhoi Su-22M-3K Fitter J fighter-bomber into the version powered by the Tumansky R-29BS-300 engine, which differed in size from the Lyulka jet units. The set contains a different rear fuselage section, a modified vertical tail surface, further 3D-printed and resin parts and decals for two color schemes. It goes with Su-22 models in 1:48 scale.
The Sukhoi Su-22 was the export variant of the Su-17 family with a variable-sweep wing. The version with the Tumansky R-29 engine differed from the machines with Lyulka units in the rear fuselage and in some details. The type served in a number of countries as a fighter-bomber.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks and the print supports, wash them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Test-fit the fuselage cuts dry and, if necessary, fill and sand the transitions. Prepare a smooth, if need be varnished, surface before the decals.
This is a conversion accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
