The real subject

The MiG-21MF is one of the most widespread forms of the Soviet single-seat fighter with a delta wing and a single jet engine. It entered service from the start of the 1970s, was exported on a large scale and served with the Czechoslovak Air Force as well. It is therefore among the types for which the most add-on sets appear.

What the set solves

Building and painting tips

• Seat the parts dry first and only then glue them, because an add-on set tends to be bulkier than the original plastic.
• Remove surplus material and production marks with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest down.
• Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the paint will hold badly.
• The gluing procedure and any modifications to the kit are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
• Finish and paint the inner parts before you close the fuselage.
