A resin accessory with replacement wheels for the Soviet carrier-borne vertical takeoff aircraft Yakovlev Yak-38 Forger in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a set that swaps the wheels from the plastic kit for more faithful ones. The wheels have a crisp tread, cleanly cast hubs and a cast weighted effect, that is, a slight flattening and bulge of the tire as if the weight of the machine were resting on it.
The Yak-38 was a Soviet carrier-borne aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing, operated from Kiev-class ships. The wheels are a prominent detail of the landing gear and their faithful rendering is clearly visible on a finished model.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash the mold release agent off them and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Because of the weighted effect, watch the rotation as you glue so that the flattened patch rests on the ground. Paint the hub and the rubber separately for a clean transition; the tire can be lightly dusted with pigment.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
