An injection-molded plastic kit of the German destroyer Zerstörer Z-28 in her 1945 form, in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the slender hull and the typical armament of a German destroyer of the end of the war. The box contains a photo-etched fret, decals and parts for building a full hull as well as a version at sea level.
Z-28 was a German destroyer of Type 1936A used in the Second World War. She was designed as a flotilla leader and among her sister ships she stood out for the arrangement of her main armament. German destroyers of this generation combined guns of 15 cm caliber with torpedo tubes and were used above all in the Baltic and the North Sea. Z-28 was lost at the end of the war in an Allied air raid.
Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with super glue. Decide in advance between a full hull and a waterline form at sea level. Finish and paint the superstructures and the gun positions before the final assembly, and add the fine railings and antennas at the end. Apply a primer and spray the paints with an airbrush; in a small scale a light emphasis of the panels and restrained salt water weathering help.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
