A plastic kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Zuikaku from Tamiya in 1:700 scale, waterline version.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Zuikaku from Tamiya in 1:700 scale, from the waterline range. The model represents the hull above the waterline and is built on a flat surface like a ship afloat. The package contains the parts of the hull, the flight deck, the island superstructure, the armament and carrier aircraft, so the deck can be filled with an air group as well. It is a kit to be assembled and painted, not a finished model.
The Zuikaku was a Japanese aircraft carrier of the Shokaku class and one of the most successful ships of the Imperial Japanese Navy of the Second World War. She took part in a number of key Pacific battles. The model captures her long flight deck, the island and the hangar superstructure; the carrier aircraft supplied make it possible to build a realistic scene.
A waterline model is built on a flat base. Paint the flight deck in the matching shade with the markings indicated, and the hull and the island in naval gray. The carrier aircraft call for small-scale painting and decals. Glue the small parts of the antiaircraft armament with cyanoacrylate. A fine patina will bring the look to life; railings, nets and a stand can be added from the aftermarket range.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
