An injection-molded plastic kit of the American guided missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke in 1:700 scale from Hobby Boss. The model can be built with a full hull on a stand or in the waterline version. The box contains photo-etched parts with railings, decals, a painting guide and a display base; helicopters with a choice of folded or spread rotors are included as well.
USS Arleigh Burke is the lead ship of the class of guided missile destroyers of the same name fitted with the Aegis combat system. The ship carries vertical launch cells for guided missiles, a gun and anti-aircraft as well as anti-submarine systems, and it serves to protect formations and for multipurpose combat tasks. The model captures the initial form of this successful class.
Before you glue the hull, choose the full hull or the waterline. Glue the superstructures and the radar walls precisely, because of the angular shapes for a reduced radar signature. Glue the fine photo-etched railings with super glue, and paint and fit the helicopters at the end. We recommend a base coat, an airbrush for the modern naval gray and a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
