A set of turned parts for a 1:700 model of the frigate USS Oliver Hazard Perry. It replaces those kit parts whose material thickness shows at this scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
USS Oliver Hazard Perry was the lead ship of the class of American guided-missile frigates named after her. These were fairly small but widely built vessels meant to escort convoys and task forces, with a hangar and a helicopter deck aft. On a ship like this, 1:700 scale is exactly where the difference between a coarse plastic part and a fine replacement shows: barrels, masts and rod-shaped fittings are only a few centimeters across in reality, so on the model little more than a hair is left of them.
These are turned parts for ship models, in other words parts machined on a lathe. Against the kit parts they have a regular circular cross-section along their whole length, sharp edges and walls that injection molding cannot produce. They will not bend or snap during cleanup as easily as thin plastic does. The extent of the set, the number of parts and the kit it is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
A building accessory is supplied. The ship model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
