As a short-run resin kit it is intended for more experienced modelers. The assembled searchlight can be placed on the trailer. The Sw-36 was one of the most widely used German anti-aircraft searchlights of the Second World War. Its 60 cm parabolic reflector could light up an aircraft at an altitude of about 1500 meters at a distance of several kilometers. It was used by the ground forces and by the Luftwaffe to search for enemy aircraft during night raids and to light up airfields. After the war it also served with the Czechoslovak army under the designation 60N searchlight.
Wash the resin and printed parts to remove any residue and separate them carefully from the casting blocks and the print supports. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Strengthen the fragile reflector and the fine lattice sections and paint them over a primer with an airbrush. Finish the reflecting surface of the searchlight with polished silver or chrome paint and treat the running gear of the trailer with washes and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
