An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian heavy 90 mm gun (90/53) in 1:72 scale by the Polish manufacturer IBG Models. The set contains plastic parts, a photo-etched fret and a decal sheet and allows the weapon to be built in the firing position. The fine moldings faithfully capture the carriage and the barrel of this famous gun.
The Cannone da 90/53 was the most powerful Italian gun of the Second World War. Designed as a heavy anti-aircraft weapon, it also excelled in the anti-tank role, comparable in performance to the German 88 mm gun. It entered service in 1940 and was used in North Africa, in the Mediterranean and on the Italian peninsula.
Glue the plastic with thin cement for plastic and the fine photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting, then the basic Italian shade, and add washes and pigments for dust and wear. Assemble the carriage carefully so that the gun stands steadily in the firing position.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
