This 3D-printed resin add-on set contains two R-40TD air-to-air guided missiles (the NATO reporting name is AA-6 Acrid). It is not an airplane model but accurate underwing stores for improving a fighter model that is already built in 1:72 scale.
The R-40 is a long-range Soviet air-to-air guided missile, one of the physically largest missiles of its kind, intended for heavy interceptors. The R-40TD version uses infrared (heat) guidance. It is carried by the MiG-25PD and the MiG-25PDS, for example, usually paired with the radar-guided version.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. The missiles are usually painted light gray, and the infrared seeker head is often clear or set off in a different color.
The set contains resin parts only. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
