This is a resin, 3D printed detail accessory from the Ukrainian maker Reskit, not an aircraft model of its own. The set reproduces the American AN/ALQ-131 electronic countermeasures jamming pod accurately in its shallow variant, which can be hung under the fuselage or the wing of a model.
The AN/ALQ-131 is an active jamming pod (ECM) that from the 1970s protected US Air Force tactical aircraft against radar-guided air defenses. It was made in a shallow and a deeper version according to the number of modules built in, and the whole range of American fighters and attack aircraft carried it.
First wash the parts to remove uncured print resin residue, separate them carefully from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The pod looks best once a primer is sprayed on and the panel lines are lightly accented.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
