A plastic kit of the transport trailer, a low-loader, that served to carry the German Biber midget submarine overland. The model in 1:72 scale captures the trailer itself, that is the means on which the small submarine was carried to the place where it was to be used.
The Biber was a German one-man midget submarine used in the closing stage of the Second World War. To reach the sea it was carried by road on a special low-loading trailer drawn by heavy tractors. The trailer had a cradle shaped to the hull of the submarine and allowed it to be transported and handled safely on shore.
It is a smaller model with small parts for the frame and the running gear, so work with a sharp knife, tweezers and a thin modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; we recommend an airbrush and final weathering with washes and pigments, which will pick out the texture of the frame and add realistic dust or mud effects. The trailer suits a model of the midget submarine or a diorama excellently.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
