A resin, 3D-printed detail set from Reskit in 1:72 scale. It contains four BL755 cluster (submunition) bombs for hanging under the wings or on fuselage pylons. It is not an aircraft kit but an addition to the underwing armament, with a faithful shape of the bomb body and fine detail on the tail fins.
The BL755 is a British cluster bomb developed in the late 1960s by Hunting Engineering. Its body carries 147 anti-armor and fragmentation submunitions, which scatter over an area target after release. It was used by a number of western combat aircraft, for example the Jaguar, the Harrier, the Phantom and the Tornado.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts with lukewarm water and detergent. Cut the casting blocks and print supports away and sand them smooth using respiratory protection. Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer, then the paints with an airbrush, and pick the detail out with a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
