A pre-cut self-adhesive masking set for the French Bloch MB-155 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Peewit. It is not a model of an aircraft but a set of accurately cut masks of fine masking tape, which make it easier to spray the frames of the canopy and further areas cleanly with none of the labor of cutting tape by hand.
The Bloch MB-155 was a French single-engine fighter, the final development stage of the series derived from the MB-152 type. It was powered by a radial engine and against its predecessors it brought changes to the powerplant, the fuel system and further refinements. Machines of this series saw action with the French Air Force and some of them served after the armistice of 1940 as well. The enclosed cockpit with its intricate canopy is a typical place where accurate masks pay off.
Move the masks onto a perfectly clean, degreased surface, seat them exactly and press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a burnisher, so that no paint can run under them. Spray the inner shade of the framing first, then the outer color once it has dried, and lift the masks off before the paint has cured completely. Any adhesive residue comes away with light dampening.
The set holds self-adhesive masks; it is not a model and not a kit. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
