An accessory set in 1:72 scale for a model of the American F-105 Thunderchief fighter-bomber. It refines the detail of a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was an American supersonic fighter-bomber of the 1950s. It came about as a carrier of a strike load over a long distance, so it had a massive fuselage with an internal bomb bay and a strongly swept wing. In its time it was the largest single-seat combat aircraft with one engine ever brought into service. It did most of its work over Southeast Asia, where it flew strikes against ground targets and earned the nickname Thud. The machine was supplied in single-seat and two-seat renderings; the second seat went to later versions intended to fight ground radars.
This is an accessory set for a model in 1:72 scale. It replaces or completes parts of a kit where injected plastic cannot deliver a fine enough shape. Which parts the set contains and where they belong are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package; the listed name does not define this part of the aircraft more closely.
The parts are not polystyrene, so solvent cement for plastic does not apply to them; bond the joints with super glue. Cut off excess material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully so that no hollow appears in the shape. Level the mating surfaces on sandpaper laid on a flat base. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and test the whole assembly dry first.
This is an accessory set. The aircraft kit, paints, glue and decals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
