A photo-etched accessory set for a model of the F-15E aircraft in 1:72 scale. The extent of the fret and the position of the parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15E is the two-seat strike version of the F-15. Against the fighter forms a second station for the weapon systems officer was added, the crew sit one behind the other and the machine is adapted for attacks on ground targets without giving up the ability to defend itself in the air. On a model the type can be told by the longer cockpit with two seats and by the bulky airframe with twin vertical tails.
These are photo-etched parts. Photo-etch reaches where injection-molded plastic cannot: it is as thin as sheet metal in scale, it carries fine detail and it replaces elements that on kit parts are only suggested in relief. In 1:72 scale, where every part is noticeably smaller, this difference shows especially well on a finished model. Which particular elements the fret contains and where they belong on the model is given in the manufacturer's instructions; the name of the item lists only the aircraft type and the scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by tearing them out, otherwise the edge will bend and leave a burr. Make the bends over a straight edge or in a bending tool and press along the whole length at once, not at a single point. Apply super glue in a minute amount, for example with the tip of a piece of wire; any excess creeps into the surrounding detail and that is the end of it. Before painting, wash the parts, degrease them and cover them with a primer, otherwise the finish comes off during handling.
The aircraft model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
