It is an injection-molded plastic model in 1:72 scale from the Korean brand Academy. The kit offers a detailed cockpit, finely engraved panel lines and a generous set of ordnance for the pylons.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine supersonic combat aircraft capable of both air combat and attacks on ground targets. The two-seat D version serves with the US Navy and the Marine Corps mainly for training and for tasks in which the second crew member operates the sensors and the weapon control. The aircraft is adapted for operation from aircraft carriers.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints carefully. The cockpit and the instrument panels come out well after a base coat and drybrushing. An airbrush works well for the modern gray camouflage schemes; bring out the panel lines with a fine wash. The gun bay cover and the flaps can be built in the open position according to the instructions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
