This color photo-etched interior set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale refines the cockpit of a model of the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat carrier fighter. The S.A. designation means the self-adhesive version: the key color parts, such as the instrument panel, the side panels and the seat harness, carry an adhesive layer and are fitted without further gluing or painting. This is neither an aircraft kit nor a finished model, but a detail accessory for the cockpit.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, deployed above all in the Pacific. The F6F-5 version was the late and most widespread variant, with an improved engine and refined aerodynamics. The Hellcat was among the most successful carrier fighters of the US Navy.
Separate the self-adhesive color parts carefully and fit them in the right places in the cockpit. Bond the other photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Shape the fine parts with a photo-etch bender. The color elements are printed, so the interior gains a faithful look without hand painting the instruments.
The set contains photo-etched metal parts only. The base kit, the glue, the paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
