Replacement wheels for a model of the Fouga Magister trainer in 1:72 scale, an accessory for the most closely watched part of the landing gear.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fouga Magister is a French two-seat trainer, recognizable at first glance by its V-shaped tail. It flew with a number of European and overseas air forces and became one of the most widespread machines of its category, so in 1:72 scale it appears in kits from several brands.
The set replaces the wheels from the box. A wheel tends to be the part closest to the viewer's eye on a finished model, and at the same time it is the part where simplification shows first: the tread pattern, the lettering on the tire and the division of the rim tend to be only suggested in a kit. Before building, compare the diameter of the wheel and the axle stub with what your model has, and shim out any play.
Cut the excess material and production marks away with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder, so that the outline of the wheel stays round. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue according to the material: on parts that are not polystyrene, ordinary modeling cement does not hold and cyanoacrylate is needed. Glue the wheels on as one of the last steps, after the landing gear legs have been painted. Paint the rim and the tire separately; the boundary between them is made with thin masking tape or a carefully guided brush, and the dry environment of an airfield is then suggested by a light dusting of the lower edge.
For builders of a Fouga Magister model in 1:72 scale who want the landing gear to be more convincing than out of the box.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
