Free French Infantry 1:72 is a set of plastic figures of Free French soldiers of the Second World War from the manufacturer Italeri.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set in 1:72 scale contains 49 injection-molded plastic figures of French infantry of the Second World War in fifteen different poses. The figures represent Free French soldiers and suit both a diorama and tabletop games. They are meant to be painted, with the smaller accessories glued on where needed.
The Free French forces under General de Gaulle carried on the fight against the Axis even after the fall of France in 1940. French soldiers took part in the fighting in North Africa and Italy and in the liberation of their homeland, and wore both Allied and French equipment and weapons of the period. Their service was a symbol of continuing French resistance.
Clean the mold seams off the figures and wash them before painting. The uniforms come into their own in khaki and olive shades with the equipment picked out. A primer base is recommended for better paint adhesion, along with a dry brush on the raised details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
