The type 1 version matches one of the tread variants; the tires are cast as weighted, with flattening where they meet the ground. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory replacing the plastic wheels from the box.
Cast wheels have crisper detail than injection-molded plastic parts, and the weighted shape gives a standing model a true sense of weight. The Wildcat was the main US Navy carrier fighter in the first years of the war in the Pacific.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks or print supports and clean them up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin and lay down a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
