A photo-etched set (etched metal parts) from the brand Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a set of fine etched parts for raising the detail of a plastic kit of the German twin-engine Heinkel He 219 Uhu night fighter. The set is intended for the kit of this aircraft in the given scale from the brand Dragon.
Photo-etched parts typically refine the cockpit, the instrument panel, the seat belts, the landing gear bays and various external details. They replace the thicker plastic parts from the box and in the small 1:72 scale they raise the overall fidelity of a model considerably.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and bent in a photo-etch bending tool or with a ruler and a razor blade. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), the small parts at a point or two. In 1:72 scale the parts are very small, so work patiently. The job suits more experienced modelers.
The set contains photo-etched metal parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
