This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale shows the Polish Rosomak wheeled armored personnel carrier in the 8x8 configuration. The version bearing the name The Green Devil refers to a heavily armored vehicle deployed on an overseas mission with add-on armor and slat protection against shaped-charge munitions. The small 1:72 scale means a compact model that suits even a smaller display case.
The Rosomak is a Polish wheeled armored personnel carrier produced under license from the Patria AMV. It is powered by a diesel engine mounted at the front, it is amphibious and it carries a crew as well as a dismount squad; the typical combat version is armed with a remotely operated turret with an automatic cannon and a machine gun. The vehicle proved itself on overseas deployment, where its toughness and firepower earned it a nickname recalling a green devil.
On a wheeled armored vehicle in a small scale, take care over aligning the hull cleanly and seating the wheels and any slat protection accurately. Glue the parts with a thin plastic cement, apply a primer and paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Detail in 1:72 is brought to life well by washes in the pressings and by fine dust and mud pigments on the lower parts and the wheels.
