M-117 bombs (early version) with the M131 fin (6 pcs) 1:72 is a 3D-printed resin set from Reskit for a faithful load of classic American aerial bombs.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains six M-117 general purpose aerial bombs in the early configuration with the M131 tail unit, printed from resin by 3D printing and complemented by a decal sheet. It is an armament accessory for carrying externally, not an airplane model. It suits a range of combat aircraft, for example the F-105, F-111, A-4, F-4, F-5, F-104, F-100, A-1 Skyraider, B-52 or Canberra.
The M117 is an American general purpose aerial bomb weighing roughly 340 kg, used on a large scale during the Vietnam War. The early version used the M131 tail unit; the combination with the type of tail determines both the aerodynamics of the drop and the overall silhouette of the bomb under the pylon.
Wash the uncured resin residue off the parts, cut off the print supports and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. Once a filler primer has been applied, the bombs are usually sprayed olive drab or gray and finished with the enclosed decals.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
