This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale combines the Soviet M-30 howitzer of 122 mm caliber with the three-axle ZIS-6 truck that tows it. It is a short-run kit, so the parts have thicker gates and need more careful cleanup and a dry fit. The pairing of gun and tractor is an ideal basis for a small artillery diorama.
The M-30 model 1938 howitzer was one of the most widespread Soviet artillery weapons of the Second World War and served long afterwards in many armies. The three-axle ZIS-6 truck was the basic Soviet heavier truck of the 1930s and 1940s and served both as a tractor and as a carrier for all manner of equipment. Together they form a typical image of Soviet artillery.
Finish and paint the chassis and the cab of the truck and the carriage of the gun before final assembly. Separate the small parts (wheels, carriage components) carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Soviet green comes out well after airbrushing, followed by edge highlighting and weathering with mud and dust effects from pigments and a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
