The plastic kit M16A machine shop on the US6 chassis (1:72, PST) — a Soviet repair vehicle on an American Lend-Lease chassis.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet M16A machine shop (repair) vehicle in 1:72 scale from PST. The vehicle builds an enclosed workshop body on the chassis of the American Studebaker US6 truck, supplied to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease. The kit is rewarding both as less usual rear-area equipment and as part of a diorama. The exact number of parts and the decal options are not stated here.
The Studebaker US6 truck was among the most widespread American equipment delivered to the Soviet Union during the Second World War; it proved itself as a reliable tractor as well as a carrier of all kinds of bodies. The M16A machine shop vehicle on this chassis served as a mobile repair shop that kept equipment fit for action right in the field. Only a limited number were delivered to the USSR, which makes the subject an interesting and less often seen one.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Assemble the chassis and the workshop body carefully. The model is covered in protective green; you can bring the surface alive with a primer, by bringing out the planks and the details of the body with a dry brush and with weathering — dust and mud on the running gear. The vehicle looks splendid as the center of a diorama with a crew and equipment under repair.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
