Behind the model stands Valom, a Czech brand that specializes in subjects outside the mainstream: you will find this type in plastic practically nowhere else. Sister boxings of the same family of aircraft exist as well, so a whole group of variants can be built.
The Percival Prince was a postwar twin-engine high-wing monoplane with radial piston engines, a glazed nose and tricycle landing gear. It was created as a light transport and utility aircraft to carry a small group of passengers and their baggage, but it also found work with military and government operators, where it served on liaison and utility flights. The successive versions differed above all in their engines and cabin equipment.
Count on short-run technology: try the parts dry, sand the joints to a proper fit and clean the flash off the surfaces before gluing. The glazed nose is the dominant feature: it pays to work the cockpit interior out carefully, to mask the glazing thoroughly and to spray the frames in the interior shade first. A primer before painting will reveal whether the fuselage joints are clean. Spray a gloss varnish under the decals and unify the surface once you are done. Pick out the panel lines and the streaks under the engines with a restrained wash, so that the model does not look artificial.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
