Refueling probe for the CH-53 Sea Stallion / MH-53 Pave Low 1:72 is a resin accessory from the manufacturer Reskit for a more faithful rendering of the refueling probe of the heavy helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin accessory, not the model itself. The set from the manufacturer Reskit contains a precisely cast refueling probe for taking on fuel in flight, intended for models of the heavy CH-53 Sea Stallion and MH-53 Pave Low helicopters in 1:72 scale. The resin casting offers crisper and finer detail than the plastic part from a kit.
The Sikorsky CH-53 is among the heaviest Western transport helicopters. The MH-53 Pave Low version served with the US Air Force on night infiltration and rescue operations in difficult conditions. The long refueling probe protruding ahead of the nose is one of the most conspicuous external features of these machines and tends to be simplified on plastic models.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap so that the mold release agent residue is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); lay down a primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
