Colored three-dimensional interior elements by Kelik for the kits of the British jet aircraft Supermarine Swift FR.5 from the firm Airfix in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Swift was a British jet fighter of the 1950s. The FR.5 version was the reconnaissance configuration with cameras in a lengthened forward fuselage and was used for low-altitude reconnaissance. The cockpit of a single-seat fighter stays in view under a clear canopy, and yet a plastic kit captures the instrument panel and the side consoles only in rough outline.
Colored three-dimensional interior elements prepared for the Swift FR.5 kits from the firm Airfix in 1:72 scale. The artwork is layered and slightly raised: the dial faces, switches and markings stand out above the surrounding surface, so the cockpit gains depth without your painting the individual instruments with a brush.
Spray the inside of the cockpit with a base color first and let it dry perfectly. The base has to be smooth, clean and degreased, otherwise the elements will not settle. Separate the individual elements with a sharp blade, move them with tweezers and press them down with a soft tool so that they reach into the corners and onto the edges of the panels. The application procedure differs between the individual lines, so follow the instructions of the manufacturer Kelik. Work one piece at a time and think the position out in advance, because an element once pressed down is hard to remove.
For the modeler who wants a legible cockpit even in a small scale and does not want to draw the instruments by hand. The work takes roughly an hour, and fine tweezers and good lighting suit it. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
