The real subject

The Buckeye was a trainer of the US Navy on which future pilots went through advanced training, including take-offs and landings on the deck of an aircraft carrier. The seats are arranged one behind the other, and the rear one for the instructor is set higher so that he can see forward over the student's head. For a model that means two separate stations under a long canopy, into which there is a good view once it is finished.

What the set contains

Color interior elements in raised relief, that is, the instrument panels of both cockpits, the side consoles and other internal surfaces. The dials, scales and markings are done in color, so you do not have to paint them in by hand. The exact scope of the sheet is given by the manufacturer in the instructions.

Application tips

• Before applying them, check in the instructions how the elements are attached; the method differs between Kelik ranges and the manufacturer's instructions decide.
• Varnish the surface first, let it dry thoroughly and degrease it; the elements hold only on a smooth clean area.
• Pick the elements up with tweezers, set them dry and press them with a soft tool so that they seat even in the corners.
• With a two-seat cockpit, sort the elements into the front and the rear station beforehand so that you do not mix them up while fitting.
