Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese prototype Tachikawa Ki-106 in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer RS Models. It is a short-run kit calling for more careful preparation of the parts. This package differs from the others in its markings – it carries decals for a Japanese and a Manchurian finish, so the color schemes you use on the model are different from those of the home defense variant.
The Ki-106 was a wooden version of the proven fighter Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate, developed at the close of the Second World War in order to save scarce metals. It kept the shape of the original but was heavier. Only prototypes were built and the machine never reached combat use, so the schemes on offer are largely what-if.
Clean the flash off the parts of the short-run kit, fit the surfaces by sanding and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. Apply a primer to show up any unevenness. You can bring out the wooden structure of the real aircraft with fine glazing in brown tones. Mask the glazing, pick out the engraved detail with a wash and use a gloss varnish before applying the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
