An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M142 HIMARS rocket launcher in 1:72 scale from Meng. It is a new tooling of a modern wheeled launch system, and the box also holds rubber tires that give the wheels a realistic look. The model faithfully captures the rugged 6x6 wheeled chassis, the armored cab and the traversing, elevating launcher module with its ammunition pod.
The M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) is a light American rocket launcher built on a 6x6 wheeled chassis. It carries a single launch pod that takes either six guided rockets or one large ballistic missile. The wheeled chassis lets it move quickly under its own power and by air and allows a fast salvo followed by an immediate move, which has made it one of the best known artillery weapons of recent years.
Assemble the cab and the launcher module carefully so that the elevation stays movable; fit the rubber tires only once the chassis has been painted. Paint the vehicle with an airbrush over a primer in modern military shades, shade the surfaces and add restrained dust and wear. Add the lettering and the warning plates from the marking sheet supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
