The FAB-250M-54 high-explosive bomb in 1:72 is a 3D-printed armament set for models of Soviet and Russian aircraft. It is a stores accessory, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, a specialist in accessories for models of Soviet and Russian combat aircraft. The contents are a high-explosive aerial bomb of the 250 kilogram class in the 1954 pattern, printed from photopolymer. You hang it under a finished kit; it does not replace the aircraft model itself.
The FAB-250M-54 is a high-explosive aerial bomb of the 250 kilogram class. The designation M-54 points to the 1954 pattern with a thick-walled body and a fairly blunt nose, which differs clearly in shape from the later, aerodynamically cleaner patterns. The bomb works above all by blast against buildings, fortifications and equipment, and it ranked among the most widespread external stores of the tactical units of the Soviet Air Force.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
