A company catalog is a publication, not a modeling product. Its purpose is to let a modeler go through the range of a manufacturer at leisure on paper: paints, weathering products, diorama materials, tools and books are all together in one book, arranged by range. For a product line as large as the one AK interactive carries, this is more practical than leafing through item by item.
A catalog is always a picture of the range at the time of publication. Manufacturers keep adding to ranges, renumbering them and discontinuing them, so the availability of a particular item always has to be checked as of today, not from a printed page. The extent of the catalog and the language edition are given by the publisher on the cover.
At the same time, a catalog does not serve as a manual. Specific procedures for working with paints, weathering or diorama materials are found in the modeling handbooks that the same publisher issues separately. A catalog is a tool for choosing, not for learning.
For a modeler who works with the range of this manufacturer regularly and wants an overview on paper. Also for collectors of company modeling literature and for anyone who likes to choose paints and materials away from a screen.
