A snap-fit model of the Audi TT coupe in a blue finish from the Airfix QuickBuild range. It is built without glue and the parts are colored, so you do not have to paint the finished car.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Audi TT Coupe is a compact sports coupe from the German carmaker Audi that won attention with its rounded, almost sculpturally conceived body and short overhangs. The model captures the car in a blue finish, as its designation states.
The QuickBuild range rests on snap-fit parts. The individual pieces fit into each other on pins and the joint holds by itself, so you need neither glue nor a knife to finish the model. The plastic is colored throughout, so the finished car comes across as complete without a single stroke of a brush. The build is a matter of a few dozen minutes and even someone who has never held a kit before will manage it.
Push the parts into each other at a right angle and without twisting, so that the pins do not bend. If some joint resists, check against the instructions whether the part is turned the right way round; force will not solve it. The finished car will stand up to ordinary handling, but better spare it falls onto a hard floor. If you nevertheless want to change the shade, reach for paints meant for plastic and apply them in a thin coat.
The set is suitable for children, for complete beginners and also for modelers who want to have a finished little car on the shelf quickly and without chemicals. It will also serve as a gift for someone who is only just trying model building, or as a quick addition to a desk and to a display case alongside larger cars. The model is supplied unassembled, glue and paints are not in the package and you do not need them for the build, unless stated otherwise.
