A paint set from the IONIC range listed under the Real Heavy Metal theme. The designation Boreal Green names the color theme: a cool northern green in a metallic register. The shades are chosen so that they can be used together, from a dark shadow through the base tone to the lightest accent on the edges.
A cool green with a metallic look sits well on fantasy armor, on ornamental ironwork, on machine parts and on science fiction accessories whose surface is to look cold. It also comes into its own where you want to set a metal surface apart from an ordinary silver tone and give it a color character of its own.
Shake the bottles properly before work, as the pigment of metallic shades settles at the bottom. Apply the paint in thin coats and let them dry, as a heavy coat clogs the relief. For spraying, thin the paint with the thinner intended for this range and keep to the ratio the manufacturer states on the packaging. Metallic shades follow the surface beneath exactly, so it pays to level the surface in advance with an even base coat. A final coat of varnish will protect the dried work.
For modelers and figure painters who want the shades of one color theme together instead of assembling them bottle by bottle. The paints are applied with a brush; for spraying, thinning according to the manufacturer's instructions is needed. The set serves for painting, and the model, brushes and thinner are not supplied with the paints, unless stated otherwise.
