A semi-gloss Mr.Color modeling paint with the designation C383, a dark green shade tied by its name to the aircraft of the Japanese Kawanishi factory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint from the C line in the Mr.Color range, part number C383. Its name identifies it as the dark green of aircraft from the maker Kawanishi, the Japanese aircraft factory that built machines for the naval air service. On those aircraft the dark green is usually the color of the upper surfaces. The finish is semi-gloss, so the surface neither mirrors nor is completely flat.
Stir the contents of the bottle properly before use, the pigment settles at the bottom. Large areas of the wings and fuselage are best done with an airbrush in several thin coats; one heavy coat floods the engraving and every irregularity of the base stands out under it. The paint is thinned with the thinner intended for the Mr.Color line, not with water, and the same thinner should be used to clean the airbrush and brushes right after work.
A dark green takes enlivening well: a slightly lightened tone sprayed into the middle of the panels frees the surface from uniformity and later shading pulls out the engraving. Lead the transition to the undersides as the subject requires, with a mask for a sharp edge or a freehand spray for a soft one. Apply an intermediate coat of gloss varnish under the decals, and once they are dry unify the sheen of the whole surface with a final clear coat. Try the shade on a plastic offcut in advance.
The package holds the paint only. Thinner, masks, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the paint carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
