A package of paints from the IONIC range and, within it, from the Real Heavy Metal sub-range. The word Set in the name says that this is several containers. The set is named after the shade Crystal Blue; how many containers it holds and what volume they have is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The name points to a light, bright blue with a cool, translucent character. Such a tone suits the ice and water subjects of plinths, glass and transparent surfaces, crystals and magical effects in fantasy builds and a light picking out of edges over a darker blue. It also comes into its own as the lightest step when lightening a blue area gradually. Compare the actual tone with the manufacturer's color chart; a shade shown on a screen always differs a little from the applied paint.
Stir the container thoroughly before picking the paint up. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are in the manufacturer's instructions and those take precedence over any general advice. Light shades are best laid over a light base; over a dark area you have to apply so many that they lose their clarity. Work in thin coats and let each one dry, otherwise the engraving is flooded and the fine relief disappears. Before you touch the model, try the shade on a piece of scrap plastic, so that you know how it covers on your base.
