DIO Set : Tarmac Roads

DIO Set: Tarmac Roads from AMMO of Mig Jimenez

A diorama set centered on asphalt roads and paved surfaces. It belongs to a range in which the manufacturer brings the materials for one particular terrain feature together in one package, so they do not have to be put together piece by piece from the ordinary range of materials and weathering products. Asphalt on a diorama never has one single color: a freshly laid surface is dark and deep, an older one is bleached toward gray, polished to a shine in the wheel tracks and clogged with dust and soil at the verges. It is exactly that difference that sets a credible road apart from an evenly gray board.

Use

• Roads, airfield aprons, yards and ramps in dioramas and vignettes.
• Telling wheel tracks, verges and patches apart in an otherwise uniform surface.
• A base for tire tracks, oil stains and spilled fuel.
• Adding dust and deposits at the curbs and in the cracks.
• Usable on smaller surfaces too, for example on a base under a single figure.
• It is applied to a firm, degreased surface, that is to a board, plaster or cured modeling putty.
• Work from a continuous base surface to the local variations and only at the end to the dust and the stains.

Who the set is for

For builders of dioramas and vignettes who make a base under a model vehicle and want the materials for asphalt together in one place. The road is usually the largest continuous surface in a scene, so it is where it is decided whether the scene looks credible.

Check the exact make-up of the package against the information on the packaging. Work in a ventilated space, do not inhale the loose materials and keep everything out of the reach of children.
