Diorama FX Ground Texture Grey Sand (Vallejo)

A texturing scenic material from Vallejo in the Diorama FX range. It is a gray acrylic paste with pigments and microparticles that dries to a rough, slightly grainy surface. It is not a covering paint or a varnish but a material for modeling terrain on dioramas and bases. It serves to imitate stony ground, dunes, rocky bedrock and oxidized metal.

Use

• it is applied with a brush or a spatula straight onto the base of a diorama or a figure base
• it creates rough terrain, stony ground, dunes and rocky surfaces
• once dry it can be painted over, toned with washes and completed with pigments
• it is thinned and cleaned with water while it is still wet

For makers of dioramas, vignettes and scenic bases in any scale who want to build up terrain texture quickly and cleanly without plaster and mixing compounds.

The material is water-thinnable. Work in a ventilated room, protect it from frost and keep it out of the reach of children. Before it dries it is cleaned with water.
