Gundam Marker black - panel lining marker (Gunze)

This is a modeling supply, not a kit. The Gundam Marker is a marker pen from Gunze made for picking out engraved panel lines (panel lining) on plastic models. The black version is the most universal - it gives the lines a crisp contrast and visually adds depth to the model.

How it is used

• The marker has a fine tip. You run it along the engraved line, and the ink fills it and flows into the groove; engraved lines, openings and gaps thus gain a shadow.
• Any excess outside the line is wiped away - remove it gently right after application, before the ink dries completely. On bare, unpainted plastic a little excess wipes off easily.
• A great advantage over a conventional wash: there is nothing to mix or thin. The marker is ready for immediate use, which beginners and fast builders alike will appreciate.
• Work in smaller sections and wipe the tip often, so that it does not carry ink outside the line.
• Before using it on a finished model, test the marker in a hidden spot - on some painted surfaces the coat of paint can react.

Who it is for

Primarily for builders of Gundam and mecha models, where picking out panel lines is a standard part of the build. It will serve just as well on conventional subjects, however - aircraft, vehicles and science fiction models that have engraved lines. Suitable for beginners and for advanced builders as a quick alternative to a liquid wash.

Safety: keep out of the reach of children and protect it from heat and direct sunlight. Store the marker with the cap on, so that the tip does not dry out. Work in a ventilated area.
