The package contains four 3D-printed resin R-73 missiles in 1:48 scale. This is an aftermarket accessory, not an aircraft model; the fine parts replace the armament from the box and are fitted onto the pylons under the wings.
The R-73 is a Soviet, or rather Russian, infrared-guided short-range air-to-air missile, known in NATO reporting as Archer. It stood out for its high off-boresight acquisition capability combined with helmet-mounted sight cueing, which gave it an advantage in close maneuvering combat. It is carried by a range of machines, for example the MiG-29 and Su-27 and their derivatives.
Wash the production residue off the parts, separate them from the blocks and the 3D print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand with respiratory protection. A primer coat and airbrush spraying are recommended; fine-tune the colors and markings to the particular carrier aircraft.
The accessory is supplied as a set of 3D-printed resin parts, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
