An AMMO of Mig Jimenez modeling paint in the metallic Gunmetal shade, that is dark gun steel.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Gunmetal shade from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez range. It is a metallic paint in the tone of dark gun steel, that is a dark gray with the metallic sheen of a barrel or a machined steel component. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, or use the thinner intended for this line.
Gunmetal is one of the shades a modeler reaches for most often. It comes into its own on weapon barrels and their breeches, on the tracks and road wheels of vehicles, on exhausts, on fittings and hinges, on small tools and on engine parts. It is also used to suggest the places where the finish has worn down to bare metal, that is on the edges of hatches, on steps and on grab handles.
Metallic paints contain heavier particles that settle in the jar, so stir them before use and again during work. Apply thin coats onto a smooth base, on which the metal comes into its own, because metallic shades emphasize every scratch. For worn edges, applying with an almost dry brush or with a piece of sponge works well; otherwise the mark comes out too regular.
The paint suits models of vehicles, aircraft and ships as well as figures and dioramas, and equally collector pieces. It goes well with further weathering: over a dry metallic shade you can work with pigments and with a dark wash that settles around rivets and in recesses. The model, thinner and application tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
