Su-24 sensors and antennas in 1:72 hold, according to the manufacturer, the full range of sensors, antennas and air pressure sensors of production aircraft. An accessory for a model, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. For it the manufacturer gives the full range of sensors, antennas and air pressure sensors fitted to production Su-24 aircraft of various modifications. It replaces the coarse plastic bumps from the kit and does not make up an aircraft model.
The Su-24 is a Soviet two-seat tactical bomber with variable-geometry wings and a crew seated side by side. It was built to penetrate to the target at low altitude and high speed, which is matched by extensive navigation and attack equipment. That is what the large number of antennas, probes and sensors scattered over the fuselage has to do with, and their arrangement changed noticeably between modifications, which helps place a model precisely.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
